Hi [FIRST_NAME],

Welcome back - show us your interest :)

Hi everyone!

It was amazing to meet so many ice and figure skating lovers at the Student Activities Fair a couple weekends back. Now that the semester is in full swing, FSC exec is looking forward to putting together open skate sessions, among other ice-citing programming (more information forthcoming!) for all of you.

To make sure we meet your best interests, we're sending out an interest form to gauge what you'd like to see with the FSC. Please fill out this brief (<2 min) form here to let us know what you'd be interested in having! There are no wrong answers :)

Also, if you're planning on coming onto the ice with us at any time during this semester, you will need to fill out this waiver. We recommend doing it now to get it out of the way!

Lastly, follow us on social media!!! On Instagram, @cwrufigureskatingclub and like us on Facebook. This is the best way to stay up to date on the happenings of FSC, other than email.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at sxh953@case.edu.

Hope to hear as many of your thoughts as possible, and to see you at some of our skating sessions!

Best,
Sandy

TL;DR - Fill out our interest form, waiver, and follow us on social media!

PS. Scroll down for news from the Figure Skating world!!!

FIGURE SKATING NEWS

Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating

Did you know that the 2021-2022 figure skating season has kicked off already for juniors in the sport? The Junior Grand Prix of figure skating has begun, with many young talented figure skaters (starting at age 13) making their international debut! Two stages have happened thus far, JGP Courcheval and Kosice, but there are still many stages to come. Give the Junior Grand Prix a watch to see flourishing young talent in the sport -- these are Olympic champions in the making, after all!

And the best part? All junior competition is free to be streamed on Youtube!! Check it out on the Junior Grand Prix Youtube channel. Also, stay up to date on all things figure skating from the International Skating Union's YT channel.

ISU Challenger Series - Lombardia Trophy

Did you know that the Challenger Series is kicking off for senior skating is kicking off this weekend? The Challenger Series is a series of international competition for senior skaters, just under the level of the Grand Prix series. It kicks off this weekend, with many talented senior skaters taking to the ice for the first time internationally this season!

It will be livestreamed on Youtube here (although, as with senior level competition, it might be geoblocked in the USA). Find out more information about the Lombardia Trophy and the 2021-2022 Challenger Series here.

Senior Russian Test Skates

Did you know that Russa livestreams almost all of their competitions for free on Youtube? Coming up this weekend, Sept. 11-12, is the Senior Russsian Test Skates, in which almost all senior Russian skaters reveal their programs for the season. The event has full English commentary, and is notable because many of their skaters are Olympic medal contenders (catch them in Beijing in early 2022 for the Winter Olympics!).

If you're interested in watching, you can check out the entries, schedule and channel for more information!

Follow us on social media! (You know you want to ;))
